My favourite Winter trends and where to find them

Home  /  Fashion  /  My favourite Winter trends and where to find them

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I wanted to do a post on some of my favourite Winter trends so here it is. Pick and choose which you want to invest in this festive season.

Velvet

Velvet is definitely not for everyone but there is such a range of velvet pieces out there at the moment. There is pretty much something for everyone, from crushed velvet boots to shorts to dresses to duster coats. When it comes to velvet here are some of my top pics:

Zara velvet skirt Daly Fashion Fix

This cute velvet mini would be fab with a loose black blouse and black ankle boots. Buy it here.

Missguided shirt dress Daly Fashion Fix

This oversized velvet shirt dress is so chic, just throw it on with some barely there sandals or heeled ankle boots and you’re ready to go. Buy it here.

Pink velvet Asos mini dress

This dress is seriously cute, you could wear it on Christmas day with some over the knee boots. Buy it here.

Macs

If you follow me on Snapchat you will know that I love Macs, just love them, I so am delighted to see them make a triumphant return this year! I wrote a blog post recently on some of my fave macs, you can read it here.

Pom & beanie hats

Again if you follow me on Snapchat, Instagram or Facebook, you will know I just love pom hats. They are so warm and cosy. I wear them slouchy so they give my outfits a really casual ,relaxed look. So far this year, I have bought three, a dusty pink, a wine and a black one. Below are some fab pom and beanie hats and where to buy them.

Over the knee boots

Ok, well I just can’t say enough about these boots, be it heeled or flat, these boots can look amazing if they are styled well. Below is a pic of me wearing my Steve Madden boots. You can also check out my blog post on how to buy and style over the knee boots here.

Pyjama shirts

This is a trend that will also be featured in the Spring/Summer 2017 collections, hurray! Again you must be careful with this trend, you don’t want to look like you are actually going to bed. I bought a cream Pyjama shirt in Penneys with a metallic sheen. I bought a neutral colour so I could pair it with lots of things and even wear it to work If I fancied. Below is a pic of me wearing it with Black Warehouse skinnies, a skinny River Island belt and over the knee boots. I would also pair this shirt with a leather skirt. It’s a great piece if you want to look dressy but not wear something too skimpy and the metallic sheen gives it that extra touch of glam.

Sequins and glitter, especially in moons and stars

A classic sequin dress never goes astray at Christmas. They are so festive and perfect for NYE. Here are a couple of my favourites available this year and where to buy them.

Embroidered Everything!

All you have to do is walk into Zara to figure this one out. They have embroidered shirts, skirts, jeans and even fur jackets. I wouldn’t go too mad buying embroidered pieces as there is only so much you can wear. I posted a pic of a really nice black denim skirt from Penneys on my Facebook page a few days ago.

Metallics

Metallics have well and truly arrived and are here to stay for Spring/Summer 17 but buyer beware, you must tread carefully with this trend. I would generally wear just one metallic piece in my outfit. Maybe a second if the second piece was a muted metallic colour. I have picked out a couple of metallic pieces available this season below.

Topshop Kobra Metallic boo

Zara leather Metallic jacket

I hope you have enjoyed taking a look at the Winter trends and my top pics.

Happy shopping and remember to keep an eye on my Facebook, Snapchat (dalyfashionfix) and Instagram for more.

O xx
